Ghanaian international, Kamal Sowah has expressed excitement after marking his Standard Liege debut with a goal over the weekend in the Belgian topflight.

The 23-year-old joined Liege in the latter of the just-closed summer transfer window on a season long loan from Club Brugge with an option to make it permanent.

The Reds recorded a massive 1-3 away win over KAS Eupen over the weekend in match-day 7 of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

The mercurial attacker made the starting line up and went on to last the entire duration of the game and also found the back of the net on the 75th minute to seal the victory.

In an interview after the game, the Right to Dream Academy graduate revealed how excited he was to find the net in his first game and hopes for more subsequently.

“I am very happy to have made my debut and to score my first goal for this wonderful club in a great win for us."

He will hope to make the starting line up once again when they host Westerlo at home next week.
