Ghanaian winger Kamal Sowah scored on his debut in Standard Liege big win at KAS Eupen in the Belgian Jupilier Pro League on Sunday evening.

Standard Liege secured their first win of the 2023/24 season's campaign after inflicting a 3-1 home defeat on KAS Eupen in match-week seven fixture at the Kehrweg Stadion.

Japanese international Hayao Kawabe set up Wilfred Kanga to open the floodgate on the stroke of halftime before making it 2-0 with a brilliant finish, few minutes after the opener.

On the 75th minute, Sowah extended their lead to 3-0 after connecting a beautiful pass from Cihan Canak to register his debut goal for the Red and White lads.

A 80th minute strike from Alfred Finnbogason wasn't enough to secure a point for the home side as it ended in a 3-1 defeat for KAS Eupen.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on a season-long loan at Standard Liege from Club Brugge, enjoyed the entire duration of the game.

Sowah has capped once for the Black Stars and he was a member of the Ghana squad that represented the West African nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
