Black Stars winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana has sent a farewell message to his former club Southampton after joining Italian Serie A side Atalanta BC 

The 23-year-old joined the Blue-Blacks on a four-year contract after spending a year and a half competing in the Premier League for The Saints and a full season in the EFL Championship 

In a post on his official X handle, the mercurial wideman thanked his former club for making him a better player and has wished them well in their subsequent seasons 

“Through the highs & lows, Southampton FC have been a family. Together, we’ve grown through what we’ve been through. For the lessons & development, I wish you the best this season & the future. Thank you, Saints. March on Saints!!” Kamaldeen Sulemana said in a post on X.

Sulemana previously played for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes before joining Southampton.

time in England was largely blighted with injuries including the 2024-2025 season where he scored two goals and added three assists in 30 games in all competitions as Southampton got relegated.

He teams up with head coach Ivan Juric who served as Southampton before resigning close to the end of the immediate past campaign.
