Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana has sustained a new injury while in action for Atalanta last night in their emphatic 4-0 victory over Genoa in round 16 of the Coppa Italia.

The 23-year-old made the starting line up and was playing so well but picked an injury in the 21st minute, just two prior after his side jumped into the lead and was replaced with Italian youngster Daniel Maldini.

Albanian international Berat Djimsiti’s opener handed the homesters a narrow lead before half-time.

However, three more goals from Marten de Roon, Mario Pasalic and Nigeria’s Honest Ahanor were enough to seal the win and sent them to the quarter final of the competition.

Kamaldeen’s injury has raised huge concerns both as he is yet to run scans to determine the extent of his injuries with Ghanaians hoping and praying it won’t be anything serious to keep him out for long like the previous once.

The mercurial winger is at the moment doubtful for Atalanta’s game against Hellas Verona in match-day 14 of the Italian Serie A this weekend.
