Ghanaian coach James Kwesi Appiah has extended his contract with the Sudanese national team following an impressive first spell in North Africa. 

The 65-year-old took over the Falcons of Jediane in 2023 and has really lived up to the height contributing greatly to the team’s steady rise in the last few years. 

After a fruitful negotiation last Thursday, the Sudanese FA have agreed to hand the experienced gaffer another three years for his good works which means he is in charge until 2028. 

Since taking over, the former Black Stars coach has led Sudan to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations which comes later this month in Morocco and have been placed in Group E alongside Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso 

They are currently partaking in the ongoing Arab Cup where they drew goalless to Algeria in their first game and will take on Iraq next on December 6.
