The enterprising wonderkid of Ghanaian descent has revealed his excitement after making his bow with the first-team of the Dutch giants in this season's top-flight campaign
Dutch-born Ghanaian teenager Pharell Nash says ''it feels good'' to make his debut with Ajax in the Eredivisie having waited for such an opportunity for far too long.
The 17-year-old sensation was handed his debut in a cameo game time during his side's 2-0 victory against FC Groningen on Tuesday.
Nonetheless, the Ghana-prospect has revealed that the information over the decision to hand him his senior call-up by the technical team came whiles preparing with the U19 side to face PSV in the Youth League.
The ever-green budding star told Ajax.nl: ''It feels good,'' he began by expressing his happiness over his debut with the first-team. ''I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. I'm just grateful to everyone who has helped me on this journey. Today (Tuesday, ed.) was finally the day. It's a shame it wasn't in a full stadium, but a debut is a debut."
He added: ''I was on the pitch with the U19s in preparation for the match against PSV. I was told that Bouni (Bounida, ed.) was ill and that I had to join the first team. It could be the day I make my debut. Then I have to make sure I'm sharp. Today (Tuesday, ed.) I managed to do that, and I'm very happy about that."
Born to Ghanaian parents in The Netherlands, the nimble left-footed winger remains a future prospect for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for The Netherlands U15 & U17 national youth teams.
