Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah was the star of the show on Sunday, scoring twice to guide Nottingham Forest Women to a 3-1 victory over Sunderland Women in Women’s Super League 2.
The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the Round 10 fixture at City Ground, demonstrating her quality and composure in front of goal.
Boye-Hlorkah opened the scoring in the 19th minute, capitalizing on a precise assist from defender Chloe Mustaki. Nottingham Forest doubled their advantage in the 31st minute through Aimee Claypole, heading into halftime with a comfortable lead.
Sunderland showed resilience after the break, pulling a goal back in the 69th minute through Emily Scarr, but the visitors’ fightback was short-lived. In the 87th minute, Boye-Hlorkah struck again to seal the 3-1 triumph, securing all three points for Nottingham Forest Women.
With her brace, Boye-Hlorkah now has four goals in 10 league appearances this season, continuing her impressive form and proving to be a key figure for both club and country.
