Ghana as a top nation can beat all the top teams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, according to Black Stars goal monger Antoine Semenyo.
The former Bournemouth talismanic forward, who took the just ended Premier League by storm with his goalscoring prowess, is convinced that, the four-time African champions have what it takes to square off against the heavyweight nations on the global stage given their pedigree on the African continent.
Nonetheless, the Manchester City lethal striker, who would be under the spotlight of opposing teams in the quadrilateral football event, is now keeping his head as he prepares to come up against world class defenders when the tournament kicks off on June 11, 2026.

Speaking in an interview, the 26-year-old has told FIFA: ''I don't think it changes anything for me, but I know that playing against my friends, I want to prove my point. I want to show that we are a top nation, we can play together, and we can beat all the top teams.''
He added: ''It will just feel normal. I don't think I'll feel anything. I think if anything, I'll just want to win and prove that we can compete with the top nations.''

Ghana have been pitted against England, Croatia and Panama in Group L. However, they face Panama on June 17, 2026 at the BMO Field in Toronto for their group stage opener, before they come up against England on June 23, 2026 at the Boston Stadium for their second game encounter and would wrap-up the group phase fixtures against Croatia on June 27, 2026 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
