Ghanaian defender Kingsley Schindler delivered a key assist as Buriram United secured a 1-1 draw away to Melbourne City FC in the first leg of their 2025/26 AFC Champions League Elite Round of 16 clash.
Operating on the right flank, Schindler set up Bissoli in the 37th minute to give the Thai champions the lead. However, Melbourne City snatched a dramatic 90+5-minute equaliser through Mazzeo to level the tie.
Schindler’s display highlighted his attacking influence, taking his tally to seven appearances and one assist in this season’s competition ahead of the decisive second leg on March 10.
