Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors have completed the signing of Ghanaian attacker Patrick Twumasi, adding firepower to their front line in what is seen as a bold statement of intent from the K League heavyweights.

The 31-year-old forward, who last played for Israeli side Beitar Jerusalem, joins Jeonbuk on a permanent deal after weeks of negotiations.

The former Astana and Deportivo Alavés man brings a wealth of experience and goal-scoring pedigree to the Korean club.

Twumasi is no stranger to the big stage. He rose to prominence during his blistering spell at FC Astana, where he notched 53 goals and racked 31 assists in 143 appearances. He went ahead to starred in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, before earning a high-profile move to Spain’s La Liga with Deportivo Alavés.

During the 2024/25 campaign, he continued to be a standout for Beitar Jerusalem, netting 7 goals and providing 2 assists in 38 outings.

A versatile forward capable of playing across the front line, Twumasi is expected to add speed, depth, and experience to Jeonbuk’s attack as they look to reclaim domestic dominance and make a mark in the AFC Champions League.

The move also marks a new chapter in Twumasi’s career, expanding the footprint of Ghanaian talent in Asia. The Ghana striker has previously represented Ghana's Black Stars and will look to use this new move to reignite his international ambitions.
