Ghanaian international, Kudus Mohammed has expressed eagerness as he can't wait for West Ham United's upcoming preseason tour in the United States of America as he looks to get fit and poised to exceed last season's performance.
The 23-year-old had an impressive debut campaign last season having taken the league by storm and made an outraging 14-goal involvements; scoring 8 and creating 6- climaxing it with a spectacular bicycle kick against champions Manchester City on the final day.
His outstanding display earned him a spot in CANAL+ Sports' best Africa eleven of the 2023/24 season and has currently attract a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad but hasn't decided anything on that yet.
With the move looking highly impossible, Kudus, has already joined his teammates in East London for preseason as they look to have themselves adequately prepared for the new season.
Speaking in an interview, the mercurial playmaker feels basing in the USA for preseason will be the best since it is a nice country and has lots of Ghanaians around and will also engage in some tough games which will serve as a perfect test for them.
Also, he added he is looking forward to working extra harder to deliver an upgrade of his last season's performance
"His [Lopetegui's] style is how I want to play, how I want to attack as a winger and there is a lot of freedom, which allows me to do that," Kudus explained.
"That is the most important thing for me - that I’m allowed to play how I want.
"We will work on it and try to double how I performed last season and be even better going forward. Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances, but most importantly help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six. That’s what my personal goal is around, helping the team,"
Kudus Mohammed will be in action this afternoon when West Ham United play as guests to Dag & Red in a preseason friendly at the Chigwell Construction Stadium at 14:00GMT
