Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has heaped praises on Kudus Mohammed following his impressive display in Europe and strongly believes he is the best player on the African continent at the moment.

The 23-year-old has been outstanding and very consistent since joining West Ham United last summer and is currently a mainstay and one of the fans favourite at the London Olympic Stadium.

The mercurial playmaker, undoubtedly, is playing his best football right now, having netted 13 goals and provided 4 assists in all competitions so far in the ongoing season.

In a recent interview, Ghana's all-time top scorer Asamoah Gyan, feels Kudus is currently the face of the Black Stars at the moment just as himself, Abedi Pele and others use to be.

The ex- Black Stars captain added he [Kudus] is the best performing African footballer in Europe at the moment and only needs the support of Ghanaians to soar higher from now henceforth.

"So far it is obvious when I say it’s obvious I mean you know, Mohammed Kudus," Gyan emphasised on Asempa FM.

"When I was coming up, we had Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and at a point it got to me. Players have come and gone. We had the Abedi Pele era, Stephen Appiah era, Michael Essien era and the Asamoah Gyan era and now it looks like it’s Kudus’ era."

"I mean he is the only Ghanaian player performing in Europe. And not just in any league, but in the Premier League."

"He’s not just doing well in Ghana but also in Africa. He’s the only African player who is doing so well for now. So we have to just support him", he concluded
