The hugely talented forward has revealed that he is open to inking a new contract at Ajax despite decision to leave the club in the last transfer window.

Ghana international Kudus Mohammed says he would consider extending his stay at Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax amid interest from clubs in England, Germany and Spain.

The 22-year-old, whose contract at the Johan Cruyff Arena outfit expires in the summer of 2025, was unhappy at the club due to lack of playing time and tried to force his way out on the January transfer window deadline day.

Ajax rejected a late offer from English Premier League side Everton for the signature of Kudus Mohammed in the last transfer window.

After the sacking of Alfred Schreuder, the Black Stars attacker has had a tremendous campaign at Ajax under new gaffer John Heitinga and claimed he feels happy and "would be willing to sign" a new deal.

“Why wouldn't I want to renew my contract? I’m playing and developing well. Now it's about negotiation and being valued. When the time is right, we'll see how it goes.” Kudus Mohammed told telegraaf.nl

He also said his focus is aiding Ajax to clinch this season's Dutch Eredivisie title and discuss his future at the end of the season.

“But they will have to be conducted with my manager [agent or representatives]. I want to fully focus on the title race,”

Mohammed has been involved in 23 goals for Ajax across all competitions this season, scoring 18 times and providing five assists.
