Ghana attacker Kudus Mohammed was adjudged the best player in AFC Ajax big home win over Rangers in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.
AFC Ajax inflicted a painful 4-0 defeat on the Scottish giants in the match-day one of the Champions League group A at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Kudus Mohammed registered his first-ever Champions League goal for Ajax with a brilliant strike on the 33rd minute of the game.
The 22-year-old had a five-star performance in the game which earned him the man of the match award.
He was replaced by his compatriot Brian Brobbey after lasting for 88 minutes of the game action for the first time this season.
Mohammed forced his way out of the club in the recently ended summer transfer window due to limited playing time but his request to leave the club was blocked by Ajax.
The Ghana international joined the Dutch Eredivisie giants on a five-year deal from FC Nordsjaelland in 2020.
He has scored three goals in his 7 appearances for AFC Ajax this season so far.
