Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has lauded Kudus Mohammed's exceptional quality but again blamed him for West Ham United's abysmal campaign this season due to his huge dip in performance
The 24-year-old has been referred to as a "world-class" and was instrumental in Hammers run to the Europa League quarter-final last season, having netted 14 goals and provided 9 assists in all competitions
However, Kudus Mohammed has struggled to rediscover his incredible form in a campaign impacted by a lengthy suspension and currently has eight goal-involvements; 4 goals, 4 assists this season in 34 appearances
Speaking on SkySports, the former English international believes Kudus' dip in form is the main reason West Ham United are struggling as he believes the Ghanaian playmaker hasn't match up to his own standard this season
“There is no doubt he’s a quality player who should be playing for a team closer to the top of the table, not near the bottom.
"But probably one of the reasons why West Ham are where they are this season is because he hasn’t shown the form that he showed last season. Last season, he looked fantastic; he just hasn’t looked the same player this season."
Definitely one will also disagree that West Ham United as a club also made some wrong decisions, bringing in Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui - who couldn't fit into the shoes of David Moyes really affected them with Graham Potter still sweating on how to get them back on track
Kudus Mohammed despite having a contract with West Ham until the summer of 2028, has popped up on the radar of series of clubs in Europe and Asia and will definitely consider a new challenge in the summer
