Major League Soccer side Huston Dynamo have secured the signature of Ghanaian midfielder Latif Blessing for their 2024 season's campaign.
Blessing has been acquired from Toronto FC for a transfer fee of $275,000 after fruitful negotiations between the two clubs.
The 27-year-old is becoming a journeyman in the American top-flight league, as Huston Dynamo is his sixth club since arriving in the United States in 2017 from defunct Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals.
The club's official statement reads: “Houston Dynamo FC have acquired midfielder Latif Blessing from Toronto FC, the clubs announced Thursday.”
“In exchange for the 27-year-old Ghana native, Houston will receive $75,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM). They could get another $200,000 in 2025 conditional-based GAM.”
Blessing has already featured for Swope Rangers FC, Sporting Kansas City, Los Angeles FC, New England Revolution FC, and Toronto FC.
He helped Los Angeles FC clinch two MLS Supporters' Shields and one MLS Cup. Blessing also lifted the US Open Cup at Sporting Kansas City.
