Cercle Brugge Ghanaian international Lawrence Agyekum has said he is delighted with his contract renewal.

The former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder officially signed a permanent contract that will end in 2029 with the Belgian club yesterday.

Agyekum has thanked God and club president Dmitry Rybolovlev. The silky youngster will aim to repay the Green and Black president's trust with his performances on the pitch.

"It’s been a busy season already, but I’m grateful to God for where I am today. I’m happy to stay at Cercle and looking forward to what’s next," Agyekum said.

Agyekum arrived at Brugge last summer on loan following an impressive spell at Red Bull Salzburg.

During the 2024/25 season, Agyekum featured in 44 games across all competitions for the Belgian outfit, netting two goals and managing two assists.
