English Premier League returnees Leicester City have shown a keen interest in signing Ghana international Jordan Ayew to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming season.

Kickgh.com understands that the Foxes have identified the 32-year-old attacker as a potential replacement for Thomas Christopher Cannon, who has emerged as a top transfer target for several clubs in this summer transfer window.

Cannon, 21, has been strongly attracted interest from three English Championship clubs namely Sheffield United, West Brom and Stoke City and are said to be interested in the Irish forward on a season-long loan spell with an option to buy.

Ayew has been a key member of Crystal Palace team since joining the club in 2018 from Swansea City.

Ayew notched up four goals and provided eight assists in 37 appearances for Palace.

Since joining the club, the Ghanaian attacker has amassed a total of 23 goals and 22 assists in 211 appearances.

Ayew has a year left on his contract at Crystal Palace and it has been reported in the English media that the club would sanction his transfer should Leicester City meet their demands.

Jordan Ayew would be a perfect signing for Leicester City

Ayew, who has been described as 'incredible' by Pep Guardiola, has been at Palace since 2019, when he joined from Swansea City.

He’s also represented the likes of Aston Villa, FC Lorient and Marseille throughout his career, although City will face competition for his signature, as he is reportedly has interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

City could make a further addition as they consider a shock move for Palace forward Ayew. The Ghanaian has only 12 months left on his deal at Selhurst Park and could depart the club this summer.
