English Championship side Leicester City have reportedly expressed interest in securing the signature of Arsenal FC attacker Eddie Nketiah in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Foxes have entered into the race for the English-born of Ghanaian origin after emerging on the wishlist of English Premier League duo Brentford FC and Cryatal Palace FC.

The Premier League hopefuls are considering the acquisition of the 24-year-old striker as a replacement of the club's legend Jamie Vardy, who will be leaving the club at the end of the 2023-24 season.

However, Leicester City will be facing Brentford FC, who have identified Nketiah as a direct replacement for the imminent departure of Ivan Toney in the summer as well as Crystal Palace eyeing the signing of a striker to bolster their attacking options for next season's campaign.

It has been a difficult period for Nketiah under Mikel Arteta this season, struggling to earn starting berth following the arrival of Kai Harvetz at the attacking department and has limited the fromer England U20 star at the London based club.

Nketiah has managed to score six goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions this season so far.
