Liverpool have renewed their efforts to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo after positive talks between the clubs over a potential January move.

Discussions are understood to have progressed well, with both sides working on a fee structure that could see the Ghana international leave the Vitality Stadium when the transfer window reopens in January.

Semenyo is open to joining Liverpool, whose interest has grown as they look to strengthen their attack for the second half of the season.

Bournemouth appear to be bracing themselves for his departure, with several clubs monitoring the 25-year-old, though Liverpool now appear to be leading the race.

Should the move materialise, it would mark another major step in Semenyo’s rise and provide Liverpool with timely attacking reinforcement.
