West Ham United manager, David Moyes has heaped praises on Ghanaian international Kudus Mohammed following his explosive start and is very much worried of missing him for a month due to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The biggest football competition on the African continent will be held early next year and Kudus will have to represent his country- Ghana at the competition which is slated for January 13, 2024 in Cote D'Ivoire.
The 23-year-old has been very impressive since his arrival and has gradually established himself as a mainstay in the team- having made the starting line up in their last couple of matches.
Kudus Mohammed has scored five goals and registered an assist so far in all competitions for the Irons.
Speaking ahead of their game against Tottenham Hotspur, David Moyes will miss Kudus, alongside Algeria's Said Benrahma and Nayef Aguerd, and has admitted it won't be easy for him but will have find a way to replace them until the return after the tourney.
"We’ve got Mo Kudus, and we’ve also got Saïd Benrahma from Algeria and Nayef Aguerd from Morocco," Moyes said in a press conference.
"The disappointing bit, and the thing we’ll need to manage, is losing those players for a month during the African Cup of Nations. But that’s part of it."
He will hope for another starting spot against Tottenham Hotspur in their next round of matches in the Premier League.
