Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has successfully overcome the injury setback he endured during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
A key member of the final Black Stars squad at the AFCON held in Ivory Coast, Ashimeru unfortunately sustained an injury that curtailed his participation in the competition.
Following Ghana's premature exit from the tournament at the group stage, Ashimeru returned to his club, RSC Anderlecht, nursing the injury that sidelined him for several weeks.
However, after a period of intensive rehabilitation, Ashimeru marked his long-awaited return to action by featuring for Anderlecht in a friendly encounter against Zulte Waregem.
Displaying his trademark skill and determination on the pitch, Ashimeru delivered an impressive performance, indicating that he is now fully fit and ready to resume competitive football following the March international break.
His return to fitness is a significant boost for both Anderlecht and the Ghanaian national team, as they look ahead to upcoming fixtures and competitions.
As Anderlecht prepare to face Royal Antwerp in their next game on Saturday, March 30, Ashimeru's availability adds depth and quality to the team's midfield options, paving the way for his impactful contributions on the field.
