RSC Anderlecht transformative midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has made return to the Ghana squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He was named in Otto Addo’s 55-man provisional list which was released on Friday.

 
Ashimeru’s last appearance for the Black Stars was in September 2021 where he played 81 minutes in a World Cup qualifier defeat to South Africa in Johannesburg.
 
The 25-year-old, whose career has often been hampered by injuries, has been outstanding for RSC Anderlecht in the ongoing campaign.
 
Majeed has netted two goals and provided two assists in his nine appearances for RSC Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro Jupiller League this season so far.
