The English heavyweights are shooting admiring glances at the youngster and could make a move for his services in the next transfer window
Austrian -born Ghanaian defender Samson Baidoo has emerged as a transfer target for English Premier League giants Manchester United, a report from the Austrian media has claimed.
The 20-year-old talented centre-back, currently on the books of Austrian Bundesliga outfit RB Salzburg, has attracted attention from many suitors, with English top-flight rivals Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and New Castle United all being credited with his chase ahead of the next window.
Austrian news outlet Laola 1 has indicated that the Ghana-prospect defender is a potential transfer target that could link up with the Red Devils in order to reinforce their backline options with his acquisition this term.
His running contract with RB Salzburg will expire in June 2027 and as per his transfermarkt valuation, an amount of €8m would be needed to prise him away from his mother club in the near future.
He has so far figured in 5 league games in the ongoing Bundesliga 24/25 football campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, Baidoo remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level.
