Newly invited Black Stars defender, Jerome Opoku has joined the team in Charlotte ahead of their crucial international friendlies with Mexico and the United States. 

 

The Istanbul Basaksehir player was handed a late call-up for the first time as a replacement of injured Brighton and Hove Albion star Tariq Lamptey.


Opoku, 24, was among the 21 players who trained on Wednesday for the upcoming game against Mexico on Sunday, October 15.


The match will take place at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.


On Wednesday, 18th October, coach Chris Hughton's men will be aiming to command a big win as they travel mid-south to face the United States at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
