Former Ghanaian international Michael Essien has extended his contract with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland following his outstanding performance since joining their coaching staff
The former Chelsea star joined the Tigers right after retiring from football in 2020 and his immense contribution has earned him a permanent stay at the Right to Dream Park till now
Essien, mainly is the assistant coach of the senior team and also in charge of player development where he is tasked to ensure a smooth transition for young players from youth to the first side.
He’s helped lots of Right of Dream Academy players to settle down at the club with majority from Ghana
Having only six days left to exhaust his contract, FC Nordsjaelland have handed Michael Essien a new two-year deal which means he will be around until 2027
FC Nordsjaelland have ended their season and will regroup very soon to begin preparations towards the 2025/26 football season
