Arsenal FC manager, Mikel Arteta ahead of their crucial outstanding league fixture against Everton tonight, has given an update on Ghana's Thomas Partey that he is yet to regain his match fitness since resuming training.
The mercurial middleman recovered from injury over the weekend and made a cameo appearance against the Foxes after coming on for captain Martin Ordegaard in the last six minutes against Leicester City.
The 29 year old has been out of action for weeks now since sustaining a knock against Manchester City in the FA Cup- where he played the entire first half but couldn't return for the second 45 minutes.
He's gone on to miss two more matches, against the Cityzens again in the 'top of table' clash in the league and Aston Villa.
Despite playing a part in their last game, the Spanish tactician stated Partey isn't likely to make the starting line since he is yet to find his rhythm since returning from the sidelines.
"He hasn't trained a lot. He had a session and he will train today (Tuesday 28 February). It's like that. He was away for a few weeks. He has to find the rhythm."
The Gunners will look to stage a perfect revenge against the Toffees tonight at the Emirates Stadium to clear out their long-standing outstanding fixture.
They will need the win to open a five points lead at the summit of the Premier League table.
