Major League Soccer side Minnesota United are closing in on Ghanaian striker Kelvin Yeboah, a report from the Italian media has claimed.
The 24-year-old, who is owned by Italian Serie A side Genoa, spent the 2023/24 season on loan at French Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC as well as Belgian outfit Standard Liège.
With the Belgian club having the option to make his loan deal permanent, such clause could be scuppered given the interest being expressed by other suitors ahead of the upcoming football season.
According to Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Augsburg FC loanee man is set to link up with the American top-flight outfit following an indvanced negotiations between both parties.
Yeboah is also on the radar of Italian Serie A duo namely; Hellas Verona and Venezia FC in this current summer transfer window.
His contract with Genoa will expire in June 2026 and is likely to spend the upcoming season with any of his admirers going forward.
Yeboah, who is a nephew to former Ghana international great, Anthony Yeboah, is yet to be cap-tied by Ghana at the international level
