The hugely talented midfielder has passed a mandatory medical examination ahead of his sensational move to Gewiss Stadium outfit, Kickgh.com exclusively confirm.

Ghanaian international Ibrahim Sulemana is set to be announced by Italian Serie A side Atalanta BC as the club's new signing in this summer transfer window.

Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal that the 21-year-old arrived at the Milan-based medical facility Casa di Cura La Madonnina on Tuesday to undergo tests, and the final part of the examination was concluded earlier today to finalize his switch to Atalanta BC.

Sulemana, who is prioritized as an important player by Atalanta BC manager Gian Piero Gasperini, will be signing a five-year contract with the Bergamo-based side, joining them from fellow Serie A side Cagliari Calcio.

The deal worth €7.5 million includes the outright sale of Nadir Zortea and the loan move of Roberto Piccoli valued at €5.5 million, meaning Atalanta will pay only €2 million to Cagliari for the Ghanaian midfielder.

Sulemana will become Atalanta BC fourth signing of the 2024–25 season after the acquisition of Charles De Ketelaere, Nicolò Zaniolo, and Ben Godfrey.

The move will mark his return to the reigning UEFA Europa League champions, Atalanta BC, a club he joined after leaving the shores of Ghana at age 17 and enjoying spells with Verona and Cagliari.

With the help of manager Claudio Ranieri, Sulemana has been a pleasure to watch in his first season at Cagliari Calcio after joining from Hellas Verona last summer. With two goals, five substitute appearances, and 16 starts under his belt, he was a regular in the Italian Serie A.

He was selected for Ghana's national squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June as a result of his impressive performances in the Serie A.

When Ghana defeated the Central African Republic 4-3 at Baba Yara Stadium, Sulemana made his debut for his country as a substitute.
