Ghanaian defender, Mohammed Alhassan has completed a move to Iraqi Premier League side, Amanat Baghdad Sporting Club on a year deal after parting ways with Asante Kotoko weeks ago. 

The former West African Football Academy and Hearts of Oak defender has played in the Ghanaian topflight for close to a decade and this is his first international move.

He's also represented the home-based national team- Black Galaxies in local tournaments and has also made some couple of appearances with the senior national team as well.

The 31 year-old center-back spent just seven months with Asante Kotoko after helping his former team, Hearts of Oak clinch the GPL and FA Cup in the 2020/21 season.

He is expected to spend at least a year in the Iraqi top-tier league with a possibility of extending as well and will strictly be based on his performance.
