Eligible Ghanaian forward Mohammed Naeem nicked his third goal in the Swedish Allsvenskan as his side, Halmstad BK suffered an humiliating 3-1 defeat to IF Brommapojkarna on Saturday evening.
Naeem, 26, was deployed on the left wing by head coach Magnus Haglund to torment the defense of Brommapojkarna with his fast-surging runs, setting the Grimsta IP stadium on fire.
Halmstad BK was coming into the game with three-straight defeats, which later on became their fourth as the home side handed them a bitter-sweet defeat.
However, home advantage favored Brommapojkarna as they tore the labia of the game in the 7th minute through Oscar Pettersson.
The home side added another goal with a gasping stunner by Alexander Johansson in the 12th minute mark.
Brommapojkarna cracked the defense of HBK and scored another goal in the 24th minute to throw the home fans into a heavenly ecstasy.
Naeem pulled one back with just nine minutes before recess as both teams traded blows with deep incursions.
Naeem's Ghanaian compatroits Joseph Baffo and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh saw 90 minutes of action for Halmstad while Thomas Boakye watched from the stands as HBK were crushed.
Naeem has now notched three goals in 16 league games in the Swedish top tier league this season.
