Ghanaian international, Mohammed Salisu made his debut for AS Monaco earlier today in their vital 1-2 win over Stade Rennes at the Roazhon Park in match-day 15 of the French Ligue 1.

The 24-year-old joined the Red and Whites in the last summer transfer window from Southampton but was out of action due to injury.

The lanky center-back has been out of action early this year due to a groin injury and also suffered series of setbacks in the process but resumed training few weeks ago.

Having made their squad last week against Montpelier, Mohammed Salisu was included in the starting line up this time and went on to last the entire duration of the game.

Vanderson broke the deadlock on the 51st minute, Youssouf Fofana doubled the lead later before Bourigeaud pulled one back for the host in the dying embers.

AS Monaco are currently on the second position with 30 points, and are three behind leaders PSG and will host Olympique Lyon in the next round of matches on Friday, December 15, 2023.
