German-born Ghanaian youngster IIyas Ansah scored his first-ever goal to secure an important away win for Pardeborn against Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga II.
Paderborn inflicted a painful 2-1 home defeat on Hamburger SV in the match-week 16 game at the Volkspark Stadion.
The visitors staged a comeback to secure the crucial win after Laszlo Benes had opened the scoring for Paderborn in the 11th minute.
Ten minutes later, Filip Bilbija levelled the score with a fine strike before a second half goal from IIyas Ansah ended the match in a 2-1 win for Paderborn.
Ansah, who lasted for 70 minutes, netted his debut goal for Paderborn to hand them all the three maximum points at Volkspark Stadion.
Stephan Ambrosius and Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer featured for Hamburger SV as Elijah Akwasi Krahn also warmed the bench for the club.
IIyas Ansah was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany and has already represented the European nation at the U20 level.
He has made seven appearances for Paderborn in the Bundesliga II this season since his promotion from the club's youth side.
