Ghanaian international, Yaw Yeboah played an instrumental role to help Columbus Crew emerge champions of the 2023 MLS Cup for the third time.
The Gold and Blacks exhibited a stellar display especially at half time to humble reigning champions Los Angeles FC in the final on Saturday evening at the Lower.com Field.
Cucho Hernandez opened the scoring account on the 33rd minute from the spot before Ghana's Yaw Yeboah increased the tally to two, four minutes later.
On the 74th minute, Denis Bouanga reduced the deficit for the visitors as it finished 2-1 after full time.
This is the third time Columbus Crew are winning the MLS championship after conquering in 2008 and 2020- becoming the third most successive club in the competition.
Last week, the Crews won the MLS Eastern Conference after coming from behind to beat FC Cincinnati by 3-2 in the final at the TQL Stadium.
