Black Stars defender, Mohammed Salisu was on target once again for AS Monaco who suffered a painful eviction from the Coupe de France in a very tough encounter.

The Red and Whites got held by Stade Reims to a pulsating 1-1 draw in regulation time and subsequently lost 3-1 via penalty shootouts in round 32 of the French Cup.

Ivorian international Cédric Kipré opened the scoring account in the dying embers of the first half.

With twenty minutes to full-time, Mohammed Salisu subsequently equalized with a towering header from a free-kick to draw his side back on level terms but wasn't enough to keep them in the competition.

The 25-year-old after scoring in consecutive games has now scored two goals in eleven appearances in all competitions and is looking forward to getting more in their subsequent games.

AS Monaco will return to league action this weekend when they face Montpellier on Friday, January 17, 2025.
