Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu Abdul Karim registered his first-ever goal for Ghana in an international friendly against Switzerland in Abu Dhabi.
Salisu brilliantly gave the Black Stars a 1-0 lead with a header on the 69th minute of the game.
The 23-year-old centre-back, who is making his third appearances for the West African, announced his readiness for the Black Stars with a debut goal against Switzerland.
The game was scheduled by the two countries — Ghana and Switzerland — to wrap up their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana will compete with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H whiles Switzerland face Brazil, Cameroon and Serbia in Group G.
Salisu had turned down call-ups to represent the senior national team of Ghana since his playing days at the Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid.
He made his debut for Ghana in an international friendly against Brazil in September.
