Ghanaian international, Mohammed Salisu has gone back to Southampton and has already rejoined his teammates at training, looking to get themselves in a good shape for the second phase of the season.
The 22 year old has been sensational since joining the Saints and his start to the season has been explosive, reason he made the Black Stars final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
He featured and lasted the entire duration of all three matches of Ghana and even netted in a 3-2 win over South Korea in their second group game- the only win the West African nation recorded in Qatar.
Despite all these, they had to exit the competition after just first round, having finished at the foot of Group H, losing two matches to Portugal and Uruguay.
After an impressive World Cup performance, the stalwart center-back has returned to the St Mary's Stadium and will be available for their EFL Cup round of 16 fixture against Lincoln City.
