Black Stars duo, Gideon Mensah and Salis Abdul Samed have left for France to join their respective clubs for the remainder of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1.
The two were part of the Black Stars final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is currently ongoing in Qatar but unfortunately suffered a group stage elimination.
The four time African champions recorded just a win in the competition- which happened against South Korea but lost the other matches to finish at the bottom of Group H.
Salis Abdul Samed was an integral member of the team, having featured in all three matches they team honoured whiles Gideon Mensah made just an appearance against South Korea in match-day two.
They flew off to France on Tuesday and expected to land on the late hours of today, with Salis heading to RC Lens whiles Mensah joins his Auxurre teammates.
The Champagne is expected to return on December 27, 2022.
