Black Stars and Southampton defender, Mohammed Salisu has inked down an emotional message to their supporters following their painful relegation from the Premier League.

The Saints eviction from the English topflight was confirmed after losing 2-0 at home to Fulham over the weekend, despite having two matches to spare.

They are currently sitting at the foot of the league log with 24 points- so as they number of Premier League matches they have lost this season after 36 games.
 
On his official Instagram page, Salisu thanked their supporters for the unending support and expressed disappointed towards his recent injuries that has prevented him from playing most of their games. 
 
The 24 year old joined the St Mary's Stadium-based side three years ago from Real Valladolid and has been amazing from then henceforth.
 
The ongoing campaign started well for the lanky defender but suffered an Injury and other set backs which has seen him sidelined out of action for almost three months.
 
His last appearance was against Tottenham Hotspur in March, where enjoyed 83 minutes of action in a game they played to a 3-3 stalemate and surged on to make 27 appearances in all competitions.
 
He's popped up on the radar of lots of clubs per speculations and is unlikely whether he will be making a switch or not.
