Nepal Super League club FC Chitwan has announced the signing of former Asante Kotoko defender Yussif Mubarik.
The enterprising defender inked a multi-year deal with the Bharatpur-based side after parting ways with Kotoko after the expiration of his contract.
Mubarik, 27, was in the fold of the Porcupine Warriors for three years before departing the club on August 1, 2023.
"We would like to introduce our final international player for this season, Yussif Mubarik, who will be a formidable force in our defensive lineup. Welcome to FC Chitwan," the club announced in a statement.
The former AshantiGold and Liberty Professionals star featured in 18 games in all competitions for the Kum-Apem lads last season.
In his three seasons with Kotoko he appeared in 62 Ghana Premier League games, netting just one goal.
