English Championship side Newcastle United have joined race to sign Ghanaian winger, Christian Atsu, on a year loan deal.
According to Sky Sports, The St. James' Park outfit has expressed interest in landing the Chelsea enforcer before the summer transfer window closes.
The Ghana international joined London based club from Portuguese giants FC Porto in 2013 on a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old has also been linked to Torino, Cagliari and FC Luzern.
He has been farmed out to Vitesse, Everton and Bournemouth in recent seasons without impressing.
His last loan spell was with Malaga last season, where he made just three league starts.
Atsu has netted nine goals in his 42 caps for the senior national team of Ghana.
