The EPL side are reportedly chasing the 28-year-old tough-tackling defender, with a "proposal" put before him by the City Ground Stadium outfit in this ongoing summer transfer window
English Premier League side Nottingham Forest F.C are currently on the heels of Ghana international centre-back Alexander Djiku, according to a report from the french media.
The former SC Bastia defender has hit the free agency pool after exhausting his contract with French Ligue 1 outfit RC Strasbourg Alsace in this summer.
A host of clubs across Europe are currently shooting admiring glances at the hard-tackling guardsman in their bid to lure him and French outlet L' Equipe are now reporting that the Premier League campaigners are now eager to augment their backline with his acquisition ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
The report added that a formal proposal has already been sent to the 28-year-old in an effort to get a deal done over the line soon.
It's believed that RC Strasbourg Alsace are also determined to keep hold of their skipper as they try to convince him to extend his stay at the Stade de la Meinau.
Other clubs who have been credited with a move for his signature include; Lille, Besiktas Istanbul and Mainz O5 in this summer transfer window.
Djiku has made more than 120 appearances for RC Strasbourg Alsace since joining them from SM Caen in 2019.
He has been capped 20 times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars after opting to represent them on the international stage.
