Ghanaian striker, Abdul Aziz Yakubu has joined Chinese Super League champions Wuhan Three Towns for €1 million on loan from Portuguese side Rio Ave, with an option to make the deal permanent.

After failing to make a move to Egyptian side Al Ahly SC during the winter transfer window, the former Guimarães striker continued to excel and has finally earned a sensational move to the Wuhan-based club.

Having won the league last year, Wuhan Three Towns are still in serious preparations towards the new campaign which starts in June and will hope to defend their title.

Abdul Aziz Yakubu in this new adventure will also look to bang in the goals just like he's done everywhere to help secure a permanent stay and also become the fans favourite at the Wuhan Sports Center.

The 24 year old netted 9 times and provided 3 assists in 18 games for Rio Ave in the Portuguese topflight  and is yet to be capped by Ghana at men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
