Bahrain Premier League side Sitra Club has signed Ghanaian midfielder Amos Acheampong on a one-year free transfer deal after leaving Legon Cities FC at the end of the 2022-23 season.
The financial details of the deal has been kept under wraps but the deal is worth a good chunk of dollars as he has had a not-way-too-bad career in the Ghanaian top tier league.
The 29-year-old previously featured for Real Tamale United, Great Olympics and Bechem United, scored one goal in 15 appearances across all competitions for Cities last season.
Acheampong was linked with a move to an Ethiopian and Arabian club before deciding on Sitra Club as his next destination.
The former Welwalo Adigrat and Mekelle 70 Enderta FC player is expected to strengthen the Bahraini powerhouse midfield.
