The Ghanaian attacker has sealed his transfer move to the German top-flight side on a permanent basis afte enjoying a successful spell with them in a season-long loan move 

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the permanent signing of German-born Ghanaian attacker Ansgar Knauff from fellow elite side BVB Dortmund until June 30, 2028.

The 21-year-old, who excelled at the Waldstadion during his one and a half year loan spell, will now remain with The Eagles for the next five seasons in the German football competition.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung had this ti tell his club's official website right after tying down the promising youngster to a long-term contract: "With his performances over the past year and a half, Ansgar has played a key role in our sporting success, which is why there was no question that we would keep him as a permanent fixture wanted to bind us. We are happy that Ansgar sees Eintracht as his new sporting home and are convinced of the footballing qualities he has shown so far. In addition, we have come to appreciate Ansgar's goal-oriented attitude and character over the past 18 months and know that we want to take the next steps in his development together with him."

He has made 52 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt in the last two season, scoring four times and providing five assists.

Knauff, who was born to a Ghanaian father and German mother, remains eligible to represent Ghana at the senior national side despite playing for Germany at the U19, U20 and U20 teams.
