Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Essiam has completed a move to newly-promoted Swiss topflight side FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy on a season long loan.
The 19-year-old is making the move from his mother club FC Basel- where he joined in the 2022 winter transfer window.
He started very well at the St Jakob Park and engaged in some couple of matches already but suffered injuries which hindered him from playing at some point.
He's now sealed the move to the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise-based side with the aim of getting much playing time and is expected to make his debut against Wil in the second round of the Swiss Cup on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Emmanuel Essiam was part of the Black Meteors squad for the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers and the main tournament.
Also, he was a member of the Black Satellites that won both WAFU and CAF U-20 Cup of Nations in 2021.
