Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Kwame Bonsu has joined Saudi Arabian first division side Al-Ain Saudi FC ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

The 29-year-old joins the Knight of Hejaz side on a year deal after leaving his last club Naft Al-Basra in Iraq, where he made 22 appearances last season with a goal to his belt.

Bonsu, first travelled to Europe in 2013 and enjoy a stunning four-year spell with three clubs in Sweden but returned home due to certain issues to relaunch his career at Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

He's now turned into a journey man in Arabian countries- where he's been playing since 2019 having featured for clubs like Egyptian fold Ceramica Cleopatra, Esperance de Tunis, Al Bataeh in UAE and others.

The versatile middleman was unveiled not long ago and is looking forward to hitting the grounds running as quick as possible and to also establish himself as a mainstay at the King Saud Sport City Stadium going forward.

Kwame Bonsu is expected to mark his debut for Al-Ain when they travel to Neom on Tuesday, September 17, in the next round of matches of the Saudi second-tier.
