European giants FC Barcelona have officially unveiled Ghanaian young sensation David Oduro on the final of the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old is joining the Blaugranas on a three-year deal and will start with their youth team and hopes to make the first team subsequently.
The club's official statement reads: “Barcelona have reached an agreement with Ghanaian side Accra Lions for the transfer of player David Oduro, who will join Barça Atlètic. Oduro has signed a three-year contract, until 30 June 2027.”
The Ghanaian young full-back earned himself a trial opportunity with the Spanish heavyweights in March this year for a possible acquisition and has been training with their youth teams since.
The former Chelsea trialist trained with FC Barcelona's La Masia within this period and his impressive display caught the good eyes of the club's technical handlers who have ordered for his immediate capture.
He will be the first player directly from Ghana to join the Blaugranas and will start from the academy as he still has a lot to learn and will hope to make a steady rise into the first team as time goes on.
David Oduro has been a delight to watch in the Ghana Premier League since joining Accra Lions in 2021 from lower-tier side Desideros FC.
