The German third tier side have announced the loan signing of the defender of Ghanaian origin until the end of the upcoming football season
German-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Duah has joined 3. Liga side Energie Cottbus on a season-long loan deal from Dynamo Dresden, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old centre-back excelled in his several weeks of trial sessions before putting pen to paper on his temporal deal for the 2025-26 campaign.
An official confirmation over his loan transfer move read: "SG Dynamo Dresden and FC Energie Cottbus have agreed on a one-year loan deal for Dennis Duah. The 21-year-old defender previously participated in several weeks of trial training and also traveled to the training camp in Austria and will wear the number 15 in the team."
Head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz said to his club's official website after landing the ex-Hamburger SV man: "We watched Dennis over a long period of time and he showed great commitment and quickly found his place within the team. He brings size and pace, which is something we were hoping for. The exchange and cooperation with Dynamo Dresden was truly professional and productive, and we came to the conclusion that this could be a good thing for all parties. We are delighted to now welcome him to our team."
Born and bred to Ghanaian parents in Hagenow, the versatile defender remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level.
