The 26-year-old defender of Ghanaian origin has joined the relegated German third-tier campaigners ahead of the summer transfer window

Relegated 3. Liga side SV Sandhausen have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian centre-back Kwabe Schulz from fellow third division side FC Viktoria Köln.

The ex-FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin U19 youngster is joining the GP Stadion am Hardtwald outfit after parting company with his former employers at the end of the just-ended campaign.

An official statement over the capturing of the 1.89m tall defender read: ''SV Sandhausen has strengthened its squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Regionalliga season with the signing of 26-year-old central defender Kwabe Schulz. The Berlin native will move to Hardtwald from third-division club Viktoria Köln this summer.''

''Schulz, who holds both German and Ghanaian citizenship, brings extensive experience from several leagues: In total, the 1.89 meter tall defensive player played 145 games in the Regionalliga, 15 games in the 3rd league and 5 appearances in the 2nd league in Austria.''

The Ghana-prospect stopper had this to say right after putting pen to paper with his new employers via the club's official website: ''I'm really looking forward to the new challenge at SV Sandhausen. The club has clear goals, and I'm ready to contribute my part.''

Head coach Olaf Janßen added: ''Kwabe brings the necessary experience, speed, and stability that we will need in our defense. His versatility and commitment on and off the pitch will help the team next season.''

Schulz was involved in 19 games for Viktoria Köln across all competitions in this just concluded 2024-25 football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Berlin-born centre-back remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be cap-tied by the Die Mannschaft.
